Shoot

Get it on tape. Get it right the first time. Keep everyone happy.

Careful planning and good design can lead to careful and thoughtful execution. The magic happens then, and again later.

Shooting (Recording) Overview

Shooting (or Recording) is a large subject with three major components: audio, lighting, and video. This discussion is handled separately for each. Select one of these topic in the navigation menu or in the table below.

For what it's worth, the same elements of good work cross all boundaries. Excellence in execution, attention to details, following instructions, being concerned for safety and morale all help. Many others as well, as you can guess. However, there are three important aspects to making high quality videos that can't be understated. Great audio, great lighting, and great cinematography - all are very important foundation stones.
